Hockey Tek Referee

A hardware-and-software officials’ table system designed to generate and control the timing of game events. It is installed directly at the timekeeper’s position and effectively serves as a software match controller.

Live match data is entered based on verbal information from the referee crew (head referee and linesmen).

The system tracks the timing of game events, ensuring accuracy and reliability in time interval management. It provides officials with the necessary instructions and prompts to correctly run pre-game procedures and control the game flow.
It enables control of LED timers in the referees’ and teams’ locker rooms, ensuring precise timing before teams and officials take the ice.
It controls arena goal lights used to indicate key events during the match.

It executes tasks according to a preconfigured schedule in line with league requirements and regulations.
It generates graphics packages for output to the arena media cube and circular LED ribbon boards, providing spectators with up-to-date information during game segments.

It can operate as a remote information controller for the Hockey Tek Titles module (control of clocks, periods, penalties, goals, etc.).
It can act as a master time reference for a third‑party Video Goal system.
The software significantly simplifies ice hockey match operations by ensuring precise timing and efficient control of game events.

The system consists of two parts:
  • the software controller that works with the equipment and graphics package
  • the graphics package that is downloaded from the server to the controller

Match data entry can be performed both manually and automatically (when a league database is available).
The software features an intuitive control interface that allows preparing data for the current game within 20 minutes. With a league database, pre-game preparation can be reduced to 5 minutes.
A number of game and officiating rules are automated, reducing timekeeper errors. At any moment, the operator can make adjustments to match information.

During the match, the software performs validations that prevent incorrect data entry or an invalid sequence of actions.
The graphics package is developed by our designers, approved with the customer, and uploaded for secure storage and access in cloud storage.

On startup, the system provides a selection of available graphics packages for the timekeeper. You can use different league graphics packages as needed. Access to graphics packages is tied to the license key number and cannot be modified by third parties.
